Sustainable Development Strategy

Sustainable Development is a cornerstone of our business strategy and a fundamental value of our organization.

Our strategy is articulated through the ESG framework (Environment-Society-Governance) and aligns with the International, European, and National context, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (SDGs), the 10 Principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), while it incorporates the expectations of our stakeholders.

We use this holistic approach to integrate the aspects of Environmental protection, Social support and sound Governance along the value chain we created by our operations, ensuring both immediate positive impact and long-term value for our people and partners.

Our commitment to each component of Sustainable Development involves:

ENVIRONMENT

We operate within an environmentally sustainable and circular economy, prioritizing environmental protection and actively combating climate change.

SOCIETY

We actively support our people by providing equal opportunities for advancement, while we contribute to the broader society in which we operate by strengthening local communities with respect to their needs.

CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

We aspire to achieve robust and efficient governance by fostering accountability and transparency, ensuring absolute adherence to institutional frameworks, best practices and risk management.

Environmentally sustainable

To continue operating as a part of an environmentally sustainable and circular economy, we implement an integrated environmental management system, in accordance with the requirements of the International Standard ISO 14001:2015.

We conduct all necessary Environmental Impact Assessments for our infrastructure and operations, recognizing the impacts of our processes, while conducting risk assessment regarding the vulnerability of projects to natural and other disasters.

Furthermore, we have developed policies and procedures that reduce the environmental footprint of our operations. This was calculated based on year 2019 and continues for the coming years. Our primary goal is to comply with the requirements of the Climate Law for emission reduction of 30% by 2030.

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Through our Sustainable Development Strategy, we at Polyeco reaffirm our ongoing commitment to progress in areas involved by our business activities and affect our stakeholders.
