More than 95% of the waste we manage is being directed towards valorization, minimizing the proportion consigned to disposal.
Climate change
POLYECO commits to undertake all necessary climate change adaptation and mitigation actions. For this reason, we have been conducting an annual, comprehensive “Carbon Footprint Analysis” for all our activities since 2019, in accordance with the guidelines of the New Climate Law (Law No. 4936/2022 (Government Gazette 105/A’ 27.5.2022)).
In this direction, we commit to reducing emissions by 30% until 2030 (compared to 2019), while designing and implementing a complete Carbon Footprint Reduction Strategy, aiming at:
- Reducing energy consumption by applying efficient energy management schemes
- Boosting energy efficiency of buildings and infrastructure
- Investing in Renewable Energy Sources for all our facilities (clean energy production: 199.623 kWh for 2021 and 226.010 kWh for 2022)
Circular Economy
POLYECO stands as a leader in the field of circular economy and particularly in the management of industrial hazardous waste streams.
Our contribution to the circular economy model is significant, promoting optimal management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
We provide our partners with innovative solutions to complex waste management challenges, thereby advancing the values of recycling, and reusing waste streams, by turning them into high-value raw material achieving very high rates of recovery of incoming wastes.
