Production of industrial additives
Polyeco, following environmental requirements for the reduction of gas emissions, has invested in creating a state-of-the-art ammonia solution production unit with a maximum production capacity of 24,000 tons/year and a solution storage capacity of 350 m3, while simultaneously adhering to all safety measures and environmental commitments. The fleet for supplying anhydrous ammonia and the final ammonia solution, is state-of-the-art and meets the strictest safety and environmental protection standards.
NOx Reducti
NOx (nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, and other nitrogen oxides) are primarily formed as a result of the reaction between oxygen and nitrogen during combustion at high temperatures in engines and other combustion chambers. Polyeco offers high-quality aqueous ammonia solutions of 24.5% and urea of 40%, both for the industrial and maritime sector.
SOx Reductio
Sulfur oxides (SOx) are formed during the combustion process in engines due to the presence of sulfur in the fuel. Polyeco’s facilities produce aqueous sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution, which is appropriately used to eliminate the SOx produced in the flue gases.
Reduction of Chromium (VI) in Cement (Ferrous Sulfate)
According to Directive 2003/53/EC of the European Parliament and the Council of 18 June 2003, the level of soluble chromium (VI) is limited to 2 ppm, as the maximum allowable limit on the total weight of the cement when hydrated. Ferrous sulfate is a widely used reducing agent for chromium (VI). Polyeco can supply a range of ferrous sulfate products, such as monohydrate, heptahydrate, tetrahydrate, or a mixture of different grades in free-flowing form to ensure easy handling and maximum efficiency of the required reduction.
